Chocolate Mousse Emergency Food Tin 700 g

Trek’n Eat Chocolate Mousse Emergency Food is the catering-size version of the familiar single pouch, supplied in a sealed 700 g tin. The powder blends cocoa, dark chocolate and skimmed milk powder with a touch of coffee extract, which deepens the chocolate rather than making it taste of coffee.

Preparation needs nothing but cold water. Stir the contents into 700 ml, beat until the mixture stiffens and serve. You can measure out part of the tin and make a smaller batch, or add more water for a lighter, airier mousse.

One tin yields roughly 1,4 kg of finished mousse, which is 7 portions of 200 g and about 2 870 kcal in total. Because the tin is sealed and the contents are dry, it keeps for fifteen years, so it works as a long-term emergency store as well as a dessert for groups, huts and expeditions.
